“The world is not a wish-granting factory.”
After 27 comes the age of pre middle age crisis.
You are done with college.
Got a decent job.
What's left is...
Marriage.
Than comes the question.
Arrange or Love.
Than I feel too old to again fall in love.
And too young too get married.
After much of deliberation arrange seems to be the sole option left.
Bigger question is when??
When is the time right for it?
Now
Or
One year hence, two years maybe
Or.
Let me get settled down first.
Or.
Let me buy a home.
Or.
Let me buy a bigger car.
Or.
Let me have some more savings.
Or.
Let me have a one more bachelor holiday.
All these alibis apart.
In the back of my mind there is still a picture of us. Holding hands walking down the street again.
The idea of us still lingers.
However stupid or senile it may sound but the truth be told there is nothing like first love.
John Green says: “You can love someone so much...But you can never love people as much as you can miss them."
Maybe I have not loved you as much as I miss you.
There isn't a day, that I don't think about you.
Maybe.
Its not you that I miss the most, rather its us.
The idea, the mental picture that I have.
The invincible us.
Damn!
These thoughts just ricochet.
"Aashiq ki tab nahi fatti jab mehbooba ki shaadi ho jaye par tab fatti hai jab khud ki shaadi ho"
Poignantly penned! All you need is a leap of faith :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely without leaps of faith we loose the idea of possibilities...
DeleteOh damn... Being in love with the idea of us is never a good thing. Put it away and step forward.
ReplyDeleteAlso, too old to fall in love?!! What nonsense, slap it out of you man :) Never too old to fall in love. Ever.
Last baat, jab shaadi karne ka time aata hai, tab sabki fatt-thi hai, regardless of how in love or out of it you are..
Well u have forced me to have a second thought about falling in love. We are never too old..
